Farming takes a Family!

Hello! We are the Schmidt Family.
We are a small-town family farm with a passion for farming and livestock located in Battle Creek, Iowa. 

Deron & Dylan are a father/son Duo and are the backbone of our farming operation. But the farming operation wouldn’t be possible without the help of Tracey & Tiffany, and of course our three kids. 

Dylan & Deron work full time on the farm as livestock and grain farmers.
Tiffany & Tracey are the focal of Schmidt Beef Co. The ones who will be answering your emails, phone calls, making deliveries, posting on our social media accounts, helping with harvest & chores when we can while Dylan & Tiffany are raising three busy children who are very involved in our family farm. 

Our family has a deep passion for livestock, and we have been involved in agriculture our whole lives. We are a five generation livestock family who got it’s start back in 1931 with Deron’s Grandfather. In 1982 Deron continued to expand and transitioned into Black Angus several years later. In 2012 Dylan joined and partnered on a pure-bred Red Angus Cow Herd. Since then, we have been improving our genetics to reflect well balanced and easy fleshing cows and calves with excellent marbling and excel in the feedlot. Dylan & Tiffany have a daughter and two sons that are already interested and learning about carrying on the Schmidt Livestock Legacy.
